Britons are being eaten alive!

‘HOME FEVER’ is affecting Britons in all corners of the country, with more than twelve million people currently suffering from indoor allergies. That figure has since rapidly increased in the last five years, with an estimation of over a third of the entire British population now experiencing symptoms of this threatening allergy . Sufferers experience runny noses, sneezing, and itchy eyes on a day-to-day basis! A recent study conducted by Allergy UK – a leading National charity, provided support and information to those with allergies – reported that children are at most risk and affected significantly easier than adults are. The study also reported that more than half of participants found their symptoms to be severely worse in the bedroom. This is because the greatest cause of ‘home fever’ is dust mites, which unknowingly live and reproduce in the very bed sheets that you sleep in every night. Allergy UK revealed that TWO MILLION dust mites can be found in just one bed, as they are drawn to the warmth and perspiration that your body gives off whilst resting. Many mistake their symptoms for a common cold or flu, and fail to realise that their allergies actually originate from their own home!

To prevent ‘home fever’ from spreading and damaging more of the population’s health, people must begin to take action and change their bed sheets, and even their mattresses, on a regular basis. Allergy UK recommends that your bed sheets need to be changed every week, and to buy a new mattress every eight years to ensure protection against dust mites.
